For example I have a Yamaha C7 Lib that actually sounds better than NI Acoustik and takes zero cpu. This used to be all the rage 10 years ago but I guess the march of time has killed the support of the software used to do this? People used to have great big racks of Akai and I can understand why. Should I be a real GS member and just buy a damn S1100 and S5000 for maximum compatibility? I guess that I can 're-sample' the whole lot manually if I really have to as I have the raw WAVs out and working in ESX. Next Akai units, like s3000 use simple linear interpolation and samples, especially with lower frequency than native (44,1khz) sounds dull, and you get stronger antialiasing. Unless there is a great old mac/pc app or preferably something for OSX. I converted a few Akai libs fine, but the one I really want refuses. But the Roland is very picky with doing conversions it seems. The reason for Akai S1000 format is that it's 100 per cent compatible with my Roland S-760. I am aware of cdextract, but this only converts from 'old' akai, emu, roland to 'modern' ESX, battery, etc. Not sure if this is an easy question but how does one go about creating/converting to Akai S1000 discs.
